Welcome!!

So this is it! The culmination of some days (did I say days? maybe it was more a couple of weeks) of work by me and my husband, creating my new and even-better-than-before website!! I hope youre going to really enjoy it! I wanted to make it as utterly visual as possible, because I am a very visual person and I suspect you are too, since you’re here ๐Ÿ™‚ You probably love yarn too, love looking at it, snuggling it, knitting it, crocheting it, spinning it. I draw the line at eating it but anything else goes! I wanted a place to share stuff, where I could allow my talk to muchiness free reign, where I can make my projects and ideas available for others, and later (in a couple of weeks) where I will be hosting my upcoming free E-Books and the soon to be created Newsletter archive so you can catch up on any you might have missed.

This is still then a work in progress, and I have lots of ideas for building more cool stuff into the site. I can’t wait!

And since today is the first live website day!!! I am celebrating with a GIVEAWAY!!!

Leave your comment here on this post to be in the draw, but first, explore my pages and galleries, then come back here and tell me what you think of the new website, and about anything you’d like to see that isnt here yet. ย If you’d like to subscribe and get updates on new stuff I would love that too! The subsription stuff is here on the bottom right of the page.

If youre drawn as the winner ย you can choose toย receiveย either a wonderful fluffy ART BATT or a SKEIN OF HANDSPUN WoolWench Yarn! And let me just say this, I have in my possession right now the most gorgeous white Alpaca fleece ๐Ÿ˜›

Thanks everyone, I hope you enjoy the site

  2. Thank you for reminding me of what can be. Impressive site and pure fiber joy in every lock. Can’t wait to dive into this river of color and texture.

    • Thanks Heather, thats very kind of you! And I love the river of colour concept, that deserves its own yarn right there!

  3. beautiful looking website you have there girl! I wish you much success in your journey in the Fiber Arts World

  4. I LOVE the new website!! It’s so great to have one page to go to for all your inspiring awesomeness and colourfulness!! I’m so excited about the e-books! I’d also love, like Virginia said, to see some art yarn projects from yarn to finished product to get an idea of how an art yarn works in a finished knitted or crocheted project. And also, I love anything to do with the silk mawatas! A video on how you dye them, or what you can make with them, anything!!
    I’m bookmarking right away!! <3

    • Thanks Deidre! I am busy with the ebooks now, so hopefully can launch those soon! In the meantime, I did make a page to show some things I have made, and one of the upcoming e-books is going to show more ‘how to’ stuff! Maybe the next newsletter will have more on Mawatas ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Thanks Lisa! Yes we did the whole thing ourselves, it was quite a learning curve, but really worth the effort we put in, I love how the site looks and its just what I had imagined in my head when we started ๐Ÿ™‚ And there will most certainly be more dyeing features coming up! Also if you havent already, you might want to sign up for my newsletter, thats where I will be putting most of the tutorials, for now at least!

  25. The website is fantastic! Really informative and interesting. I’m looking forward to your e-books ๐Ÿ™‚ one thing I’d like to see is some of your wool made up into items, so that it’s easier for me (a novice) to see how art yarns and space dyed wools knit/crochet up.

Good work! Pat yourselves on the back ๐Ÿ˜€

    • Yep great thinking Virginia! Planned and coming soon is an extra page linked from the projects page, to show some of the items I am currently knitting and crocheting ๐Ÿ˜€ And I just thought of this (although its too late for a couple of projects) I should photograph the yarn ‘before’ its knitted up too, would that be handy?
